  • Gas consumption over past 12 months (used to benchmark current offers)
  • Review of Annual Contract Quantity (ACQ), Maximum Daily Quantity (MDQ) & Maximum Hourly Quantity (MHQ) so the new contract will ‘match’ the load requirements of the client.
  • Take or Pay Clause review (how much risk you wish to take to receive a lower price)
  • Network Access Charge (pipe costs)
  • Metering Charges
  • Greenhouse Gas emissions
  • An Executive Price Summary highlighting the best price available from each retailer for the duration of the contracts
  • A full set of supporting load profile (graphs) where data is available for AC, MDQ & MHQ
  • Contracts from all retailers
  • (Depending on your preference) advising you on the “best value” for money contract when T & C’s are compared with respect to Overruns charges.

You can choose to nominate any Contract Period length from 12 months to 5 years.

Would you pay an invoice before checking it?

If so, this service isn't for you.

While we can't guarantee what an Energy Retailer may charge you on your bill, we can guarantee that if there's an error, we'll find it and chase it up on your behalf!

Here at Energy Brokers we have seen countless incorrectly charged energy bills and we have successfully chased up adjustments and or credits for all sorts of clients.

Our Bill Validation team has extensive experience and will go the extra mile to confirm all your charges are accurate on your behalf.

This process can range from manually printing your bills and time of use reports and comparing it to a physical bill to downloading data from your current Metering Provider and validating it against your current bill.

Common errors include:

A time of use mismatch - in which case we will check it against individual NMI data

Incorrect charges - where we will go back to the retailer on your behalf, armed with a copy of your bill and meter data and get it sorted.

While we're at it, we'll even check your tariff too !

We strongly recommend having a Bill Validation done at least once a year with the previous 12 months of data - you may be surprised what we find!

Contact Energy Brokers to start the Bill Validation Process or ask us about our other bundled services!

  • We offer an in house ‘Specialised Reporting Service’ (SRS) which is tailored to you.

The reports will provide customers with quality data & information in an easy to read report giving you the opportunity to target high monthly consumption periods or immediately address changes in site ‘efficiency’ (i.e. low power factor). As you may be aware a lower power factor may increases your monthly KVA demand charges.

The main difference between Energy Brokers & the competitors’ service is we use actual data – not estimates.  We include your billing information every month with a full breakdown, plus most importantly we monitor your reports and immediately make you aware of any areas of concern.  You can take comfort in the knowledge that even if you don’t have time to check the details…we are keeping an eye on your business energy usage for you.

In essence we “report” on the Report.

The Reporting Service will ‘check data & report’ on a monthly basis the following information:

    • Check the consistency of energy based on electronic data
    • Indicate the current month's KW, KVA Demand & Power Factor
    • Verify consumption consistency (month to month comparison) and report increases/decreases in both kWh and as a percentage (%) plus comparison to same time last year
    • Verify Power Factor (site efficiency) consistency (from month to month comparison) to reduce demand charges with last month comparison, plus a 12 month table chart and graph of history
    • Calculate the Greenhouse Gas emissions or CO2 (plus 12 months supporting data)
    • Calculate the Peak, Shoulder and Off Peak consumption breakdown – plus provide a “same time last month” comparison, supported by a graph and table providing 12 months data
    • Calculate dollar value consumption spend and subsequent average c/kWh (inclusive of network and market participation charges) from actual bill
    • Provide monthly bill total (for multi-site reporting)
    • Provide Annual cost summary (once 12 month billing data available)
    • Pie chart breakdown of monthly bill spent

Note: For Energy Brokers to provide you with this service, your site (NMI) must have access to web data via your Metering Provider, we can confirm if you have web access already or arrange this on your behalf, any additional cost by the Meter Provider can be billed by your Energy Retailer on your regular bill.

An Energy Audit is a cost-effective way to reduce the energy consumption of your business.

This can be achieved by analysing and tweaking settings, altering energy use behaviour, upgrading lighting and or some key appliances and a whole lot more.

An Energy audit will tell you exactly what is using your energy and what you can do about it.

By obtaining a thorough understanding of energy usage we can reduce your energy usage by a significant margin (often over 20%) quite easily.

The primary reason businesses choose to add Solar Power to their premises is to reduce the cost of their energy bills. By consuming the energy you generate yourself, not only will you reduce your energy bill, but you'll reduce your greenhouse gas emissions too.
With Solar Power efficiency maturing and the cost of Retail Energy still rising, Solar Power Generation is something all businesses should consider.
We have extensive experience in both Large Market and Small Market systems with a customised system catered specifically for your business.

For more information on the Large Market

- (Solar Generation System anywhere from 100kWh up to 1000kWh)

For more information on the Small Market

- (Solar Generation System anywhere from 25kWh up to 100kWh)

Feel free to Contact Us to:

  • Further reduce of your energy accounts bills by adding a Solar System to your business
  • Provide advice on the Solar proposal you have received
  • Provide a scope to ‘tender’ to multiple recommended Solar Energy companies
  • Arrange a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) so you can sell back the ‘excess’ of solar power you have to the market / Retailer

Before you understand why you may wants a Power Factor Correction Unit it is important to understand what Power Factor is.

So what is Power Factor?

To understand power factor, we’ll first start with the definition of some basic terms:

KW is Working Power (also called Actual Power or Active Power or Real Power). It is the power that actually powers the equipment and performs useful work.

KVAR is Reactive Power. It is the power that magnetic equipment (transformer, motor and relay) needs to produce the magnetizing flux.

KVA is Apparent Power. It is the vectorial summation of KVAR and KW.

Power Factor is a measure of how effectively incoming power is used in your electrical system.  It is defined as the ratio of Real Power to Total (or Apparent) Power.

In other words,   Power Factor = kW / KVAr

Having poor Site Efficiency, that is a Low Power Factor - will increase your monthly KVA Demand Charges resulting in more energy consumption and higher than necessary bills.

Energy Brokers is able to provide a variety of services that will assist you in maximising your Power Factor.

These include:

  • Efficiency Reports
  • RFP to Power Factor Correction Equipment (PFC) Manufacturers & Installers
  • Provide Return on Investment Calculation
  • Project Manage the installation of the Power Factor Correction
  • Arrange a KVA Reset with relevant Network Providers

A lux (or luminous flux) is a measure of the total amount of visible light present whilst the illuminance is a measure of the intensity of illumination on a particular surface.

Your Lux Level is measured in lumens, and a larger area requires a greater number of lumens to adequately light.

We can help you improve your Lux levels whilst simultaneously reducing your energy cost by upgrading your current lighiting with more efficient and long-lasting lighting tehcnology.

Some rebates may even be available in the NSW, ACT & VIC markets.

Having done this ourselves (in our very own office no less), as well for arranging this for a variety of our clients (both warehouses and office buildings) we can prove not only an increase in brightness but a decrease in energy use thanks to energy efficient LED lighting.
